The Norway Pavilion will allow you to explore the deep blue sea and learn about Norway’s pioneering sustainable ocean solutions – all without changing into a wetsuit.

Find out about Norway’s seafaring heritage and its focus on maritime activities by taking an interactive journey from beneath the seabed to the water’s surface. The pavilion will highlight some of the most pressing environmental issues facing our oceans, and showcase cutting-edge innovations that could help to overcome these challenges.

Architecture

It is designed by the Oslo based architect firm “Rintala Eggertsson Architects” and will have a recycling/reuse percentage as high as 80%.

The Norway Pavilion Team

Norway pavilion at Expo 2020 is entirely operated by Norwegian staff. As part of oir commitment to expanding the understanding of the Middle-East in Norway, most of our staff are young aspiring students. They undergo comprehensive training in the culture and business of the Middle-East, Norwegian Ocean Strategy, Ocean Industry and Technologies and the Norwegian commitment to the Green Shift.

Expo 2020 Dubai

The Expo 2020 Dubai has been postponed to 2021.This is the first time the World Exposition is hosted in the Middle East. The purpose of World Expositions is to promote international relations through uniting world countries with the exchange and exposure of ideas, new thoughts, innovation and experience in business, education, research and technology.

“A BETTER WORLD TOGETHER!” is the main theme for the Expo 2020 Dubai is Expo 2020 Dubai is not just another trade show – but a World Exposition where the world is gathering to present and showcase technology and knowhow for the future. Expo 2020 Dubai themes are in reference to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The EXPO theme recognises that generating sustainable solutions to global problems demands collaboration across cultures, nations and regions.

PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES
At least 190 countries have confirmed their participation. Among these, around 80 countries will have their own self-build pavilion, with design and content never seen before. A number of NGOs, major corporations, institutes and academia will have their own exhibition facilities.

LOCATION
The EXPO site is situated between the new Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and The Port of Jebel Ali, and only a 35-40 minutes’ drive from Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport (DXB).
